“The Hurt Locker” – a shocker at the Oscars night
Submitted by Editor on Mon, 03/08/2010 - 21:24This movie about technicians of the bomb squad who do their job among mayhem in Iraq is a tribute to the US military and their work in Iraq. In a stunning move, the Film Academy endorsed this low budget, low grossing movie as the winner of six categories. What was even more stunning was to hear the movie director Kathryn Bigelow paying tribute to American soldiers and their selfless service for our country. We would not have imagined that the liberal Hollywood would bring about face in this matter.

Bergen County candidates for County Sheriff – Mike Saudino
Submitted by Editor on Sat, 03/06/2010 - 12:23Please, read a moving letter from Robin and Ron Griffin, Emerson Republican County Committee, in support of Mike Saudino for County Sheriff:
To my fellow Bergen County Republicans,
The day after my son was killed in Iraq (June 1, 2003) my wife and I pledged to ourselves that we would never cast blame on anyone for Kyle's death: for he died performing a mission he believed in, for a country he swore to protect, while loving being a soldier. Likewise, we dedicated ourselves to somehow making something good of this tragedy.

Bergen County Republican Candidate for Freeholder 2010 - John Criscione
Submitted by Editor on Wed, 03/03/2010 - 22:16Dear Fellow Republicans,
What a great time to be a Republican! Under the leadership of Governor Christie and our dedicated newly elected Freeholders, we are off to a good start for the New Year. But much needs to be done. The rise of Republicanism in New Jersey and Bergen County will bring attacks from those who will try to hang on to power at any cost. What is needed in a Freeholder Candidate is courage, character, and vision. I humbly submit my name for your consideration. My experience and record in local government speak to my qualifications for this great task.
Who is Jeff Bader and why he is endorsed by the Bergen County GOP establishment?
Submitted by Editor on Tue, 03/02/2010 - 22:05We would like to receive the answer from the source – Jeff Bader. He did send a letter to BCRO County Committee members last month introducing himself. Recently, an e-mail was sent out with endorsements by current assembly members Robert Schroeder (elected in November) and Charlotte Vandervalk. Former freeholder Lisa Randall also endorsed him.
Why the big guns of the Northern Bergen County fired their artillery? Would it be that the North is afraid of the candidates from the Southern New Jersey? Unfortunately, the South Bergen does not have any assembly members to return the salvo.

While "wages and other job-related income fell by a record $206 billion last year to $7.84 trillion, transfer payments from the government such as unemployment checks and Social Security burgeoned by $231 billion to $2.1 trillion. Fact-checking Obamacare Summit by Sarah Palin
Submitted by Editor on Fri, 02/26/2010 - 16:28We should be thankful for yesterday’s 7-hour health care summit – it was helpful in that it allowed Americans to hear the fundamental differences in approaches to meeting health care challenges. On one side, commonsense conservatives laid out fiscally-sound, free market-based, patient-centered solutions; and on the left’s side we heard about the Democrat’s belief that growing government is the only way to meet challenges.

Thank you so much. Thank you. I really appreciate it. Thank you. Thank you, Senator DeMint, who believed in me when, really, the only people -- most of the people that believed in me lived in my house. And thank you to CPAC. I'm really honored that you have me here today in Washington.
