Freeholder Hermansen stone walled by Democrats on the Bergen County Freeholder Board

The information exists but, I [Hermansen] have been told I will not be receiving it. I will now have to OPRA the information. I find it sad that as an elected official who was elected to help keep taxes lower that I am being stone walled when it comes to how we spend the County's money. Then again after seeing what has gone on in Bergen under this administration I 'm not surprised that they would try to hide what they have done.

Commentary from the Editor:

Extreme Enviros: Drill, Baby, Drill in ANWR – Now Do You Get It? by Sarah Palin

This is a message to extreme “environmentalists” who hypocritically protest domestic energy production offshore and onshore. There is nothing “clean and green” about your efforts. Look, here’s the deal: when you lock up our land, you outsource jobs and opportunity away from America and into foreign countries that are making us beholden to them. Some of these countries don’t like America. Some of these countries don’t care for planet earth like we do – as evidenced by our stricter environmental standards.

Is It Any Wonder Why We Call Them “Lame”? by Sarah Palin

It may seem like a small thing, considering the state of the union and international issues of the day, but let me share some facts surrounding a most recent illustration of the untrustworthiness of America’s mainstream media.

Finally Republican Freeholder Hermansen figured out the Democrats' game on the Bergen County Board of Freeholders

We say, it is better now than never. Democrats fooled Republican freeholders with the Arizona resolution but now they were caught in their own game. We suggest that Republican freeholders simply suggest a resolution to ban any resolutions that have nothing to do with rising property taxes in Bergen County.

Freeholder Hermansen asked pointed question “When will this political theatre end?” We say never. This is what Democrats live for.

Read Hermansen response below:

Dear Chairman Carroll, and Freeholder McPherson,

Bergen County Freeholder admits a mistake in reference to a resolution against the Arizona Immigration Law

Our position is that such resolutions have no place on the Bergen County Freeholders’ agenda. It is just another politically motivated resolution to deflect attention from misguided policies of the Bergen County Executive Dennis McNerney and his freeholder allies, who are responsible for a fiscal disaster in Bergen County in last few years. They are also responsible for rising property taxes and rising debt accrued by their irresponsible spending.

In the future, Republican Freeholders should refuse to even discuss such political resolutions.

"Time to close NJ Sports Authority and save taxpayers millions" says Donovan.

Kathleen A. Donovan, Republican candidate for Bergen County Executive, today called on Governor Christie to cancel the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority's purchase of Personal Seat Licenses (PSL's) and season tickets for the New York Giants and New York Jets. According to Ms. Donovan, "This latest slap at New Jersey taxpayers is proof positive that the Authority has clearly outlived its usefulness and should be put out of its misery."

Memorial Day, to Remember Past and Present Sacrifice by Sarah Palin

“Let no neglect, no ravages of time, testify to the present or to the coming generations that we have forgotten as a people the cost of a free and undivided republic.”
- General Orders No.11, Grand Army of the Republic Headquarters, May 5, 1868

Did I read the Record or Soviet Pravda?

We had a series of primaries last Tuesday in four states. Most observers agreed that the results confirmed that voters are deeply dissatisfied with Washington politicians and are willing to dump incumbents who represent present political establishment.

Big Oil: Learning from Alaska’s Experience by Sarah Palin

Many Americans want a serious discussion about what can be done to finally tackle the Gulf Coast oil spill. Unfortunately, yesterday White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs used his appearance on “Face the Nation” to deflect from the needed discussion about solutions as he suggested that I should “get slightly more informed as to what’s going on in and around oil drilling in this country.”
