Woodcliff Lake, NJ – Freeholder Rob Hermansen endorsed Woodcliff Lake Councilman Jeff Bader today. Hermansen was elected to the Freeholder Board in 2009 and is committed to reforming county government. Freeholder Hermansen previously served on the Mahwah Borough Council.
"Councilman Bader has a proven track record of trusted leadership. He has worked hard for the people of Woodcliff Lake, and will bring that same dedication and commitment to the Freeholder Board. I think it is very important to balance the ticket with someone with Jeff’s experience as a long standing elected official and his experience as a business owner," said the Freeholder.
Jeff has served on the Woodcliff Lake Council for nine years and has run a successful trucking business for over three decades. He looks forward to bringing his experience as a business owner as well as his record of fiscal conservatism to the Freeholder Board. On March 18th the Bergen County Republican Committee and Elected officials will vote to endorse 3 candidates for the Republican Nomination.
[As received from the Bader campaign].
We ventured into Bergen County today and asked some of the County Committee members who will choose freeholders later on this month at the BCRO convention. These are their reactions:
Bruce (last name withheld): I do not know Bader at all and never heard about him before.
John (last name withheld): I have never seen Mr. Bader at the County Committee meetings.
Virginia (last name withheld): Do we really need truckers as freeholders?
Joan (last name withheld): I heard that Mr. Bader is a successful businessman, maybe he should run for county executive instead?
